Welcome to the wonderful world of motorcycling women.
Women on Wheels® is a national organization that was founded in 1982 to unite women motorcyclists for recreation, education, mutual support, recognition and to promote a positive image of motorcycling. The national organization and numerous chapters are dedicated to promoting the interests of all women who ride, whether on their own motorcycle or scooter, as a passenger on someone else’s motorcycle, or as a future motorcyclist.
We welcome all women motorcycle enthusiasts, whether 18 or 80. We ride all brands, all sizes, and all styles of motorcycles, including cruisers, touring bikes, sport bikes, sport-touring, dual purpose, motocross, trikes, and scooters. What we have in common is a passion to ride!
Members of the Minnesota chapters have organized numerous rides and events for the 2011 riding season. These include dinner rides, ice cream stops, day trips, weekend trips, campouts, charity rides, dealer open houses, and conferences. Spouses, children, and significant others are welcome, unless an event is denoted as being “closed-women only.”
Safety is a top priority for our organization, and we promote safety education. Alcohol is not permitted on any of our rides. All riders must have a valid motorcycle endorsement and proof of insurance to participate in group rides.
When you join Women On Wheels® national, you automatically belong to any chapter in the United States. Locate the chapter nearest to you and join us for a meeting. If you would like additional information, call one of the chapter directors or visit the state or national web sites listed below.
